Full Name:[/b] Aeolun Maltharius Rha’b’salessa
Height:[/b] 6'0"
Bloodline:[/b] Oldest son of Listhringo and Ytnayga Rha’b’salessa.
Gender:[/b] Male
Species:[/b] Lichdrow
Alignment:[/b] Lawful Evil
Allegiance:[/b] Arcania
Age:[/b] 104
Deities:[/b] Aeolun thinks very little of most gods. In order to respect a god or goddess, Aeolun has to see a degree of great power, combined with the knowledge of how to use it. Otherwise, they can die of brain cancer for all he cares.
(God's Opinion / Aeolun's Opinion)
Alyara (Hates / Completely Abhors): What? Life? Excuse me, I need to find a place to vomit.
Tryiu (Abhors / Murderously Abhors): You heal and comfort the pathetic, and essentially ruin the world, spoiling them by doing so. If you cannot survive on your own, you deserve death.
Bellisa (Completely Abhors / Completely Abhors): Your followers, rangers and druids, have got to be the most pathetic piles of horse manure I have EVER seen. Your forests are weak. See? I now hold a flame in my hand. I barely have to try to burn down your entire domain. Go die in a hole, Bellisa.
Aethaer (Hates / Abhors): It would be nice if Alyara would die. You are protecting her. Protecting her prevents her from dying. Read the subtext.
Ethayarajan (Respects / Likes): I respect your power and methods, Ethayarajan. You are truly a force to be reckoned with in all situations. Praise the Death God!
Kirith (Dislikes / Neutral): Go ahead and do as much melee combat as you like. I'll be over here watching from behind the rest of the meat shields if you need me.
Skiasca (Neutral / Dislikes): Maybe you have your priorities in order, and you understand how the world truly works, but your avatar was slain by a mere mortal! True, it was a very powerful mortal who soon became a god, but it was still a mortal! I don’t care if you’ve recovered! It was still a mortal!
Vhaeraun (Dislikes / Dislikes): You turned your back on aiding the righteousness of Alyara, and instead pursued your own disgustingly vile goals. I applaud you for that, and curse you for being an idiot who was following Alyara in the first place. If you want to redeem yourself, slice your belly open and bleed to death. Then maybe I'll consider you deserving of a small amount of respect. Maybe.
Nazthelruu (Hates / Murderously Abhors): Why is this insane freak still being an idiot?
Gwydion (Neutral / Neutral): You've taken upon the role of an observer, which is better than being “virtuous”, and you command more power than most of the deities put together. Good enough.
Elerbould: (Dislikes / Dislikes): How did this person become a god? Did someone take pity on him? I'm going to kill whoever pitied him.
Heironeous (Murderously Abhors / Murderously Abhors): When all the paladins in the world simply explode and create huge, disease-infested clouds of gore, the world will be a better place. And really, what does honor mean? I just can’t understand why people would willingly be so stupid. Is there some catch that I’m not seeing? “Oh my, your back is turned. I’m not going to stab you with my dagger. That would be mean. I can‘t kill you AND be mean, that wouldn‘t be humane.” Yes, that sounds intelligent, doesn’t it?
Hextor (Respects / Respects): Though the idea of being splattered with guts in melee doesn’t appeal to me, you do have both power and intelligence, a rare sight these days.
Arcanvilla (Neutral / Amused by): A goddess of total chaos? Mmm... Hehehe. Intriguing.
Ananchel (Dislikes / Abhors): By Kordetul, she's worse than Tryiu! Is that possible? Doesn't it break some law of reality? Am I just having a bad dream? Wait, I don't sleep. That means you're real. I'm feeling depressed now... Excuse me. I need to go kill something to cheer myself up... Perhaps conduct some profane rituals... Desecrate a cathedral, maybe…
Gabriel (Abhors / Dislikes): AHAHAHAHA! Guardian of the Great Heroes! Shut up and watch how it is done, false god! I shall reanimate those you protect and pervert them against you! THAT is true power!
Adara (Indescribably Abhors / Neutral): What is it with you and your hatred of men? Oh, my apologies. Was that you that night? I tried to be gentle.
Amprinoth (Neutral / Neutral): Time magic? It does not grant as much power as that over life and death itself.
Lexion (Dislikes / Neutral): Keeper of Forbidden Knowledge? I already know it. Go away.
Vathmet (Respects / Greatly Likes): Oh my, a decent god. What a rare sight these days.
Kordetul (Favors / Worships): Murder? Lies? Undeath? Malice? Disasters? You stole a list of my favorite things, didn't you?
Aethmmor (Neutral / Respects): Revenge and retribution! Hahaha! Suffer the little children who so annoy me! Trust me, Aethmmor, when I say I shall be dealing out plenty of revenge, retribution, and redemption - assuming you consider redemption to be when a being becomes my servant! Hahaha!
Appearance:[/b]
--Physical Appearance: Aeolun, disliking the typical image of a lich, has placed enchantments on his body in order to keep his skin appearing healthy. Aeolun’s skin is still moderately healthy, though being undead, it’s color has obviously deviated a bit from being coal black, and is now more of a bluish-gray. Aeolun’s muscles are fairly noticeable, though even with the health enchantment he bestowed on his body, they are slowly deteriorating. Aeolun is completely bald, and his eyes are pure milky white in color due to being undead.
--Apparel: Aeolun always wears a long, dark green robe, with simple black linen pants underneath. The cuffs are embroidered with gold, and though the hem of his robe was also decorated with golden embroidery, the lower part of Aeolun’s robe has become tattered, and the embroidery literally turned to dust. He also wears knee-high black leather boots and a leather belt. Covering his upper chest, shoulders, and neck is an enchanted iron mantle - this is enchanted to absorb some of the magical energy of offensive spells, allowing Aeolun to take the energy as his own. It also offers modest protection from melee attacks.
Personality:[/b] Aeolun tends to be viciously venomous in conversation, taking delight in every possible opportunity to lash out at whoever he is speaking with. Perhaps the only time he isn’t like this is if he is speaking to someone who could easily best him in combat, or if he is speaking to someone who has earned the impossibly rare honor of being called a friend by Aeolun. Even then, insults and sick humor creep through. Aeolun constantly seeks to gain more power, more knowledge in the art of necromancy, and will go to great lengths to see that his plans are carried out; they often are, and to exacting perfection. That is why Aeolun can rightfully call himself the greatest necromancer in all Carme, something he isn’t shy about proclaiming, unless it seems imprudent to do so. Aeolun, despite practically being a personification of evil, maintains a sense of humor, albeit a somewhat twisted sense of humor. He is cruel and somewhat sadistic, an example being where he once ordered a zombie to beat a man to death with a chair and the man's own leg, then turned around and had a fairly casual conversation while a man was being killed no more than 5 feet away. Aeolun has a special spot in his rotting heart for the pleasure he gains from corrupting and perverting things that once stood for good and virtue - turning a paladin to evil through manipulative words or raping a nun sworn to Adara's teachings would make Aeolun indescribably gleeful. Aeolun delights in taking every opportunity to gain more allies - his preferred method is manipulation and blackmail, and he is even believed to have influenced, or at least personally known, Yeata Narwa, Valatar, Ules Felko, and Yagotha Bedanbek, respective kings (past or current) of Avie'ka, Sparinik, Arcania, and Yagothia.
Attributes:[/b]
Strength: 5
Dexterity: 6
Constitution: 0 (undead)
Intelligence: 10
Wisdom: 10
Charisma: 7
Weapons:[/b]
--Ancient Drow Dagger***: This dagger, salvaged from the Dark Elven ruins of Alram-Thegrias, is lethally sharp, serrated, and very exotically designed. When held, it’s tip points slightly forwards, which can result in very nasty wounds for any victims of the blade. The handle is mostly made of onyx, studded with eight dark teal sapphires, and has a small crossguard that bends towards the wielder to protect the middle and index fingers. The blade is mostly made of obsidian with some onyx, but it’s edge is unique in material. It appears to be made of some sort of cyan blue gem, but it melds perfectly with the obsidian in the blade and is far, far harder than could be expected of anything other than solid diamond, though he is a fairly experienced alchemist, and has confirmed it isn't diamond. Aeolun hardly cares, however; as long as it can slice through flesh and light armor, he's fine.
Other Possessions:[/b]
--Spell Component Pouch: A small pouch Aeolun keeps on his belt, this contains several material components for his magic.
--Phylactery: Aeolun’s most closely guarded possession, this object contains his very soul. If it were to be destroyed, Aeolun would die permanently. The phylactery is hidden away in a safe place, and takes the form of a small, perfectly smooth obsidian orb. There are dozens of magical wards upon this object, and to top it all off, Aeolun keeps it in the center of an adamantine cube, that is surrounded on all sides by 4 inches of virtually impregnable adamantine. If anyone somehow knew about it, bothered to try finding it, somehow managed to find it, recognized it for what it was, and decided they wanted to destroy it for some reason, they would still find they wouldn’t be even halfway there - only two people have ever found Aeolun’s phylactery: himself, and a rival necromancer who was literally vaporized by the magic wards.

Weaknesses:[/b]
-Positive energy (Aeolun is sustained by negative/dark energy, thus, healing spells have the opposite effect on him, and Gwydion's Blood grants him no resistance to this due to his undead nature)
Resistances:[/b]
-Dark and Shadow energy (these energies are similar to the negative energy that Aeolun is sustained by, and thus, he possesses a large degree of resistance to them)
-All Magic (both from innate resistance and the resistance gained from Gwydion's Blood, Aeolun is somewhat resistant to all forms of magic)
-Polymorph effects (as a lich with a modified nervous system, Aeolun is difficult to polymorph by others, even powerful wizards)
Immunities:[/b]
-All mind-affecting (being undead, his mind is vastly different from that of a normal being)
-Cold and electricity damage (the nervous system of undead is greatly modified, so cold cannot directly damage him, and the only way electricity can is if it ignites a flame)
-Negative energy (Aeolun's life is sustained by negative energy, and thus, spells or effects powered by them heal Aeolun instead of harming him)
-Poison and Disease (another undead trait; as he has no bodily systems or organs to be corrupted, these toxins can be carried in his body, but have no effect on him personally)
Special Abilities:[/b]
--Tireless***: Aeolun, as an undead, has neither need nor desire to sleep, eat, or breathe.
--Gwydion's Blood*****: The blood of Gwydion himself is in Aeolun's body, permanently infused through magic. Once per day this allows him to send a spell of his into 'overdrive', magnifying it's power by untold amounts. This also grants Aeolun a number of other abilities: he is able to turn ethereal for a few seconds a day, possesses a slight resistance to magic, and possesses a certain degree of regeneration.
--Master of Undead*****: As an extremely powerful necromancer, Aeolun holds a large amount of sway over undead of all types. Aeolun can manipulate undead as easily as it takes most people to simply walk from point A to point B - it's second nature to him. Aeolun is legendary amongst practitioners of magic for his profound skill in the art of necromancy. He has been known to create undead servants simply by bringing together the dust of flesh and bones from ages past and reanimating it as if it were a recently deceased corpse. In essence, this makes Aeolun a constant danger, as he has the ability to create a group of undead to aid him almost instantaneously, at almost any location in the world.
--Aura of Fear****: Aeolun, as a lich and an experienced necromancer, has the passive ability to make both friend and foe alike feel a very strong fear of him, feel moderately unnerved, or if they are exceptionally strong-willed, they may feel slightly shaken or nervous.
-Still Spell***: While many mages require somatic components to their spells, Aeolun can choose not to utilize any for the element of surprise - also, as long as his mind is active, he is capable of casting a spell, even when afflicted with paralysis or frozen in ice.
-Silent Spell***: Many wizards require verbal components to their spells. Aeolun doesn‘t need them, having learned how to simply recite the incantations in his mind to the same affect.
--Persuasive***: Aeolun is a fairly skilled conversationalist, and can be very persuasive when the need arises, through both carefully selected words and force of personality. His decent skill in mind magic helps, as well.
--Regeneration**: Obtained from infusing Gwydion's Blood with his body, this allows Aeolun to rapidly heal minor wounds, though it is stopped by fire damage.
--Polyglot***: Aeolun fluently speaks Common, Undercommon, Draconic, Infernal, Elven, and somehow even figured out the obscure Vampiric language. Aeolun also speaks a smattering of Goblin, Orc, Dwarven, and Gnome.
--Darkvision***: A racial ability of the drow, this allows Aeolun to see in even pitch blackness, though only in shades of black and white for extreme darkness.
--Infravision***: Another racial ability of drow, this allows Aeolun to see things by their heat signatures.
History:[/b] Aeolun was quite normal in his young age, born in the Drow city of Sohktaphos. Between the ages of 6 and 17, he simply did as any other Drow would do. At 18, he joined the Dark Elven military, but never showed very many characteristics of a soldier. At 19, still in active military service, he received a deep gash on his right cheek, which would remain there for the rest of his natural life. Later that year, he resigned, after the short career of a year and a half. After publicly humiliating a priestess of Skiasca with his razor-sharp tongue, he was exiled from the city, forced to live alone in the Underdark until his death.
Naturally, Aeolun had no intentions of roaming the Underdark until a displacer beast or hook horror found him and finished him off. He decided to brave the surface, choosing to brave that hellish orb of fire called the sun rather than the wild predators of the Underdark. Finding his way to the surface, Aeolun spent the next 2 years adapting his eyes to the horrid light, and trying to get to some sort of civilization. Since he didn’t realize that he was about as far south in Greater Carme as was possible without reaching the Great Sea of Aquelaros, he didn‘t go east, in which case he would‘ve found the empire of Romanus very quickly. Instead, he went north, where he would have to travel several thousand miles on foot.
After nearly a year, he ended up in Lesser Carme. After that he roamed about, unsure of what to do next, being the restless man he always was. 3 years after he came to the surface world, he stumbled upon the ruins of Alram-Thegrias. At the time, several warlocks had been living there. Mistaking him for an enemy of theirs, they attacked. Aeolun struggled for a few seconds, trying to defend against very painful spells he continued to be hit by, until his pain unlocked a dormant power within him, and he began to let out random, uncontrolled bursts of negative energy, which instantly killed those it came into contact with. The warlocks took him in when he was calmed, then tried to train him to use his magic in a more controlled manner, desiring a powerful ally such as Aeolun.
Eventually, after the accidental deaths of 8 of the tribe of warlocks, and 6 years, he learned how to control his energy. By now, he wasn’t restless: He was power mad. Killing the entire tribe with the massive amount of energy he had, Aeolun forgot that he had limits. After killing the tribe and heading out of the ruin, he collapsed of fatigue. Waking up, he came up with a plan to give him more power: He would use his massive magical abilities to enhance his skills and strength even further, permanently. Though he succeeded in that, his mind, magical talents, and physical strength having been greatly enhanced, there was an unforeseen side effect due to his tampering with the inner workings of his body ignorantly: Aeolun was completely insane, as well as power mad.
He then began his ‘amazing conquest of the world’, in which he gathered about 10 soldiers, offering great rewards to them. When they realized he was insane, they deserted. He went to the sea and collected several seashells, then claimed to all he saw that he had defeated the sea god, although it is unclear who that might be. After several other similar escapades, his hunger for power soon faded, developing into eccentricity, unpredictability, dementia, and schizophrenia. He continued on like this until the age of 92, when he briefly became sane, because of a physical reaction his body had to a poisonous gas released into the air, inside a castle he had stumbled into.
Almost instantly afterwards, however, Aeolun was impaled by a blackguard he’d gotten on the wrong side of, Claudius Belmort II, and left for dead in the castle. He lay there, for several days, unconscious, until he awoke, and discovered the castle he had been in to have collapsed. Starving to death and far from any other edible substance, Aeolun was forced to eat several rats in the castle ruins. The second he took a bite from the first rat, the life as he knew it began to end, because the rats in the castle had been infected with Bubonic Plague. Several more days passed, and over the course of those days, symptoms of the plague manifested, as he started to have terrible headaches and fever, even having several seizures. Then, a few more days later, black growths appeared on his body, and he realized his sickness for what it was. Fearing death immensely, Aeolun began to use his knowledge of necromancy to achieve lichdom. After a month, he succeeded in this.
Aeolun left Ravisha right as he turned 93, then found an abandoned tower made of some odd, rusty-looking metal, but that was far from weak and brittle. He entered it, and found that it was completely furnished, and very nicely furnished indeed. The tower was empty, but he found a great library in it, and found a book just lying around, that detailed some magical artifact that was said to give the wielder the gift of knowledge and power, then disappear forever. Naturally, Aeolun quickly became hell-bent on getting the artifact, which was called the ‘Tome of Black Wisdom’. He traveled back to Ravisha’s capital, Kylarce, and signed on with a pirate hunting ship, after learning that the Tome of Black Wisdom was last seen with a pirate captain, who apparently had been in possession of the Tome for years, always too afraid to even open it.
Aeolun was with the pirate hunting vessel, Lustration, for 5 years, at which point the finally stumbled upon the Tome of Black Wisdom in the possession of a pirate captain, just like he’d heard. Aeolun opened the book and perused it’s pages, insisting on remaining to read it before they left the charred, fractured ship to the depths. With each page he read, his mind and body became even more full of evil energies, nearly overwhelming him at one point. Finally, unable to read any more of the impossibly powerful book after merely 12 pages, Aeolun was forced to leave and bring it with him. However, his mind was in a daze from the overwhelming power and knowledge he had gained far too quickly, and because he was in that state, he closed the book, forgetting it would disappear. When he closed the book, it disappeared completely, leaving Aeolun with but a fraction of the power he could’ve obtained had he persevered throughout the entire book. Furious, Aeolun put his newfound power to the test, slaughtering the men and women he had worked with for the past several years, but felt no kinship to.
At the age of 98, Aeolun got back to Ravisha, and returned to the ancient wizards tower he had found near Ravisha. However, it was far from abandoned, as he found a strange drow there, who’s name he learned to be Lord Hightor. After a short conversation, Aeolun figured out, both by Hightor’s aura and the things he said and the way he said them, that Hightor had to have been more ancient than Carme itself. Aeolun convinced Hightor to teach him what he knew of necromancy, since Hightor seemed to see some of himself in Aeolun, thus respecting him a fair amount. For 3 years, Hightor taught him many secrets of necromancy, until Hightor was killed by two Avie’kan soldiers, one nearly as skilled as Hightor with a blade, the other luckier than most would believe possible for mortals. Aeolun felt a bit of spite for the two, Yagotha and Shakiree, but was smart enough to realize that even if he could kill 2 people who could best Hightor, there was little pragmatic reason for it. Thus, he simply went on his way. 2 years later, Aeolun learned of a magical alchemical substance, known as Gwydion’s Blood, and after another year of study about this rare and powerful substance, Aeolun decided to go after it, and he learned that a grumpy old enchanter named Tzrami was going after it. Aeolun viewed Tzrami as his ticket to Gwydion’s Blood, and swiftly went to find Tzrami.
Aeolun quickly tracked down Tzrami, who disapproved of his methods and goals greatly. Aeolun couldn't garner any information from Tzrami other than the fact that someone named Ules Felko had been retrieving it for Tzrami in exchange for information regarding Ethayarajan's Will. Aeolun, who just happened to know how to find the artifact, got Tzrami to follow him out of the city, then kill him (though as he left a minion to do it, Tzrami managed to survive). He then teleported ahead to where Ules was going to retrieve it, arriving far before Ules did. He convinced Ules to aid him instead of Tzrami, and after a series of confusing events, Aeolun led Ules to someone else, who in turn took him to Ethayarajan's Will. Meanwhile, Aeolun had obtained Gwydion's Blood - he studied it for a fairly long amount of time, even throughout much of the Diabolos War. Eventually he figured out all of it's properties, and magically infused the liquid with his body, greatly increasing his power. Afterwards, Aeolun stumbled upon a cleric of Hextor by the name of Kray Deifkra. Although Kray had a very powerful artifact, Hextor's Gauntlet, Aeolun knew of something else he wanted that Kray had - several necromantic tomes relating to various topics. Aeolun convinced Kray he could be a valuable ally, and began to study them. He soon finished, having learned a fair amount, and began searching for a way to leave without invoking Kray's wrath.
Aeolun soon discovered that several people were coming after Kray to kill him and take Hextor’s Gauntlet, including Ules, who Aeolun had met in the past, and of all people, Hightor - who Aeolun had thought to be dead. Knowing full well that Ules and Hightor alone would probably slaughter Kray and his minions, Aeolun decided to join them at the last minute, betraying Kray. They succeeded in killing Kray, and Hightor got his hands on Hextor’s Gauntlet.
For the remainder of the Diabolos war, Aeolun remained mostly in the shadows. He allied himself with Ules Felko, lending him aid in the form of a legion of his undead. Aeolun commissioned the construction of a tower on the outskirts of Arcanos, which he has taken up residence in.
Class:[/b]
--Necromancer (Necromancers are wizards who have focused a bit more on necromancy, or death magics, than most wizards would. They are fluent in all types of magic, mystical words and arcane gestures granting them more power than the large swords wielded by melee fighters, but naturally, their true skill lies in death magic.)
--Master Specialist [necromancy] (Many wizards choose to specialize in a specific school, focusing on a particular branch of magic. The master specialist studies the very notion of specialization. Though he, too, focuses on one school above all others, he so thoroughly devotes his attention to mastering his chosen discipline that he gains insight beyond the reach of any mere specialist. If a specialist is a student of a school of magic, the master specialist is that school's teacher.)
--Dread Necromancer (A specialist wizard who calls himself a necromancer or a cleric with the Death domain has significant power over undead and the forces of negative energy, but a dread necromancer is their true master. A practitioner of vile and forbidden arts, the dread necromancer roots about in graveyards, searching out moldering components for his obscene spells. He calls upon restless, tormented spirits of the dead, seeking their arcane secrets. He might be a consummate villain, or perhaps a tortured hero whose obsession with death leads him along questionable moral paths.)
Opinions on People:[/b]
-Ules Felko: While not necessarily a friend, Ules earned Aeolun's grudging respect when Aeolun began to realize that Ules is almost a mirror of what Aeolun might be had he not went mad at a young age, sparking the events that would turn him into a lich.
--Tzrami Yhhuoehk: Aeolun once left a minion of his to kill Tzrami. The minion failed, and Tzrami survived. While Aeolun does not particularly care about what happens to Tzrami, Tzrami DEFINITELY cares about what happens to Aeolun - he hates everything about him, and had tried to kill him before. Aeolun nearly killing him, albeit in a form of self-defense, only increased Tzrami's hatred of him.

”Damn you, Claudius Belmort… Damn you to the Nine Hells, where I shall surely send you before I am forced to follow!” - Aeolun Rha’b’salessa
"Get the dumb muscle out of here, there are things in my abode not fit for idiots unlearned in the ways of magic to see. I don't want him bumbling about activating doomsday devices, or worse..." - Aeolun Rha'b'salessa, referring to Merek Blackheart
"Is this private enough, or shall we remove the corpses? You never know when dealing with a lich." - Ules Felko
"I'm sure the Ravishans are going to have fun with a severed leg appearing in the king's bedroom, especially when they trace it back to here. And if they send a wizard to investigate, this humble little home of mine happens to drift aimlessly in the Plane of Shadow. If they send a wizard, they'll end up drifting around in infinite blackness, screaming with no other mortals to hear them." - Aeolun Rha'b'salessa, after teleporting a severed leg into the Ravishan king's bedroom
"I just wish a ride towards the nearest city. A crazed mage sent me here as a source of amusement, and I have little in the way of knowledge about the area." - Ules Felko, after being teleported to Helfri's Pass by Aeolun, next to a merchant caravan
"And in case you haven't caught on yet, I want that vial, and anyone who tries to get it before me is going to end up hacked to pieces on an altar and then reanimated as some pitiful form of undead. You, Ules, are trying to get it before me." - Aeolun Rha'b'salessa

"And in case you haven't caught on yet, I want that vial, and anyone who tries to get it before me is going to end up hacked to pieces on an altar and then reanimated as some pitiful form of undead. You, Ules, are trying to get it before me." - Aeolun Rha'b'salessa
